Anti-wrinkle injections are an effective and affordable way to rejuvenate the face and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out frown lines between the eyebrows, laughter lines around the eyes, wrinkles around the jaw, as well creases in the forehead. The eyebrows and chin can be lifted and the jawline can be softened with the help of this proven treatment.
Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles, these muscles are responsible for the wrinkle-inducing movements of the face. Repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds known as static wrinkles and this where wrinkle injections step in to help!
Anti-wrinkle injections deliver a product derived from a purified protein to targeted muscles. Once injected, the product immediately begins to relax these specific muscles and lines and wrinkles being to soften.
The injected treatment works by stopping communication between the nerve and the muscle, preventing the muscle in question from contracting and making the movements that would cause wrinkling of the skin.

The Answers to all of Your Questions
A. There is a big difference between dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections. While both are injected into the skin by a medical professional, the similarities stop there. Dermal fillers provide volume while anti wrinkle injections freeze the muscle in order to provide a smoother appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Depending upon what you want to improve on your appearance, you may need one or the other – or a combination of both. Anti wrinkle injections are not capable of sculpting the face or adding any kind of volume. However, they can be one of the best ways to smooth out lines and wrinkles and reduce the overall appearance of the wrinkles
A. The injections vary from person to person. Many of the anti wrinkle injections can last for approximately four months, though it depends on the brand as well as where they are being placed. Some people have been able to go for as long as 12 months with a single round of injections. Once you have had multiple injections, the time in between treatments can be extended.
A. The injections involve a needle and so there will be some pain. Most patients describe it as a pinch as the needle goes into the muscle. There is a local anesthesia applied to the area to numb the skin prior to the injection. Some of the products also have lidocaine inside, which can help reduce the amount of pain.
A. It is important to find a registered health practitioner that is licensed in Australia and has experience with anti wrinkle injections. You will want to schedule a consultation to learn about the various types of injections that are available, have recommendations made on the number of injections and where in the face they will be injected, and also learn of the cost. If you are not comfortable with the health practitioner, you will want to find a different one.
